I understand the people who oppose the 99% cry for a fair and balanced system in regards to the fact that many people making 6 figure incomes will be getting grouped in with the same people who are making millions of dollars per year. But it all boils down to the same irrefutable statement:
A rich person who gets taxed a lot is still a rich person. A poor person who gets taxed a little… is still a poor person.
A little comment I made to a friend about a quote from Vince Lombardi regarding the Occupy movement. I don’t understand why anyone is fighting the OWS movement. They’re doing it for us! They’re doing it because our voices aren’t heard! They’re doing it because the Government won’t do it and big business doesn’t care about us!
The crowd at Occupy Wall Street protest in New York City, this morning 11/17/11.
There is NOTHiNG wrong with the Occupy Movement. It’s no different than the Civil Rights movement years ago. It’s no different from everyone voting for our nations next leader. It’s this countries people standing together saying to the government/wall street (since they’re one in the same) “hey - you’re doing it wrong!”
Yet they’re reply isn’t “oh, sorry. We forgot that its YOU that live in this country that we should actually be helping an protecting” and instead they’re reply is “fuck off - we don’t care about you.”
