Using ‘self defense’ as you attack with a gun: the death of Trayvon was avoidable if Zimmerman asked “do you live around here?’ That’s how humans communicate.

That would mean Zimmerman
Would have to conquer his fear.

The problem I have - or the statement I should say - regarding the Trayvon Zimmerman case - is the simple fact that when someone dies as a result of another person’s “self defense,” you only hear one side of the story. According to the law, I could go up to someone I don’t like, shoot them in the head, and say I was acting in self defense. Who’s to say I wasn’t?

Now I am 100% against the entire concept of acting out in self defense with a “shoot to kill” mindset. I believe in an eye for an eye or in terms of Zimmerman, a life for a life. Regardless of whether Trayvon attacked him, he murdered someone in (plain and simple) cold blood.

If someone is attacking me, should I automatically assume they’re trying to kill me? Of course not! People get in fights constantly, people get mugged, people get fucking shot over a wallet full of dollar bills! That does not and should NEVER mean “it’s ok to KILL THEM in self defense.”

Period.
