Awesome - I have an iPad. Great. Meanwhile, my peers are chanting “all immigrants are criminals” and “muslims want to destroy America.” Instead of playing Words With Friends, maybe I should speak up and try and stop the “leaders” of this country from continuing to run it into the ground. They’re the ones on TV who people are watching and following and being brainwashed by. We’re all human beings on the same blue orb, and we act like savages. We have the money, the power, the medical understanding, the scientific know-how, the love and the community to produce a kind of human paradise… but we fuck it all up because we always put OURSELVES above OUR COMMUNITY, OUR COUNTRY, OUR RACE and OUR WORLD.
I like this quote by McKenna and I think it’s a perfect interpretation of what our greed does to our community. If you (and I don’t mean YOU Nicole, I mean it figuratively) want to go to school, get a good job, raise a family, retire and die, leaving your offspring to repeat those actions - fine. But I won’t be satisfied with my life until I’ve done something great for this world. I can’t be satisfied with my life knowing that I did it all for ME and not for US. People need to realize that we’re all just fine and we’re going to be fine - lend a fucking hand for fucks sake and stop degrading your fellow human beings because they didn’t have a proper childhood and family like you did. Nobody gives a shit about you. You’re going to die and disappear and one day billions of years from now when this earth has been burnt to a crisp or even sucked into the sun, there will be other worlds coming into being that will know nothing of our Earth. Maybe we should live a little more peaceful and a little more careful with the little time we have left. We have the power to do so, yet we’re still a society filled with finger pointers yet all we have to blame is ourselves.
